The Creative Arts Program of the East Meadow School District is proud to announce that registration for it’s Summer 2021 program will begin on Wednesday, May 19th!

If you’re not familiar with us, CAPE offers youngsters a fantastic variety of crafts, physical exercise, and educational courses for children in grades K-5. This program is open to East Meadow School District residents only.

 

Important Program Information

Location

Classes will be held at W.T. Clarke Middle School.

 

Registration and Tuition

  • Online registration starts May 19th.
  • Class sizes will be limited, an early response is recommended.
  • Please check back frequently as available classes are constantly changing.
  • Each student develops their camp schedule by selecting Option 1-5 based on their grade or the FOUR week program.
  • All class combinations must be taken together.
  • You may select to attend camp one week, all four weeks, or a combination of weeks.
  • Camp tuition is $120 per week ($40 per day) or $480 for all four (4) weeks. Each week is paid separately.
  • Weekly tuition includes two (2) combination classes per day that run for a total of three (3) hours each day.

Registration Instructions

(Check back on May 19th for the Summer 2021 CAPE Registration link!)

  1. Select CAPE under the "For Community" tab on the east Meadow District Website.
  2. Select the Summer 2021 Registration link.
  3. Complete the Registration Information.

In order to complete registration, you must select a payment type.

  • Check: Mail a check made out to cape, with a printout from the online registration to McVey School, 2201 Devon Street, East Meadow, NY 11554
  • Credit Card: Payment through MySchoolBucks
  • Credit Voucher:
    1. Select the Check Payment option when registering your child.
    2. E-mail CAPE to let us know of your intent to use voucher. A return email from CAPE will alert you to the remaining balance.
    3. The remaining balance will be paid by check.

Please note that all spots will be held upon registration. Payments must be received before the start date of the class(es).

 

Dates & Times

Classes are held 3 days a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays from 9 AM to 12 PM.

Each student develops their camp schedule by selecting one class for EACH week or the FOUR week program.

Spring 2020 Vouchers

If you are planning to use a Spring 2020 Credit Voucher to apply credit to your Fall CAPE payment, please use the steps that follow:

  1. Select the Check Payment option when registering your child.
  2. E-mail CAPE to let us know of your intent to use voucher. A return email from CAPE will alert you to the remaining balance.

CDC COVID-19 Guidelines

Safety remains the top priority at CAPE. In order to meet new public health guidelines, we have implemented the following changes to our procedures and workspace:

  • All CDC, NYSDOH, Nassau County and Local Guidelines will be adhered to.
  • Staff and campers will have their temperature checked at the beginning of each day.
  • All surfaces and equipment will be fully decontaminated after each use.
  • Instructor to camper ratio will be based on CDC guidelines.
  • Social distancing guidelines will be adhered to at all times.
  • Face coverings will be worn at all times.
  • Daily reevaluation of all procedures and protocols.
