Wellness Week

From May 22-26, students throughout the East Meadow School District participated in numerous activities to celebrate Wellness Week.

Activities throughout the district included Wellness Walks, active relays, writing and sharing positive affirmations, and yoga, among other activities. Wellness Week gives students the opportunity to engage in wellness activities through movement, conversation, classroom activities, games and stories. Students learned about the importance of overall wellness as a key to success, both in and outside the classroom.

Bowling Green Elementary School enjoyed some healthy outdoor exercise during their annual Wellness Walk.

Students at Parkway Elementary School linked colorful chains together with positive messages written on each chain.

Students at East Meadow High School enjoyed fresh air and experienced the positive benefits of sunlight during their annual Wellness Walk.

W.T. Clarke Middle School students posted positive affirmations to a shared board.

Classes at Meadowbrook Elementary School teamed up to participate in active relays.
