The East Meadow School District is proud to announce that Barnum Woods Elementary School and George McVey Elementary School were ranked among the top 100 public elementary schools in New York State for 2024, according to U.S. News & World Report.
Additionally, all five elementary schools were ranked within the top 300 in schools in the state. The U.S. News & World Report’s rankings were based upon New York State’s reading and math scores.
“This is a great honor for all our schools, specifically Barnum Woods and McVey elementary schools,” said Superintendent of Schools Kenneth Rosner. “The strong partnership between the schools, parents, and community enables our students to reach their full potential. We are appreciative of the support we receive from the board of education, and we are excited to continue this path to greatness. Congratulations to our great staff here in East Meadow.”
