W.T. Clarke High School students honored in nationwide science contest

The East Meadow School District is proud to announce that W.T. Clarke High School freshmen Gabriella Arboleda, Alisa Babu and Manaal Pramanik finished in the top 300 of the 2024 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge.

Clarke’s honorees participated in the competition as eighth graders during the 2023-2024 school year. Coordinated by the Society for Science, the Thermo Fisher JIC is the nation’s premier science, technology, engineering and math competition for middle school students. This honor places Clarke’s students among a select group of 300 middle school science and engineering projects in the country from 1,862 entrants. The projects tackle global issues from microplastics and road safety to breast cancer.

The district commends W.T. Clarke’s honorees for being recognized in the 2024 Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge.
