On Dec. 4, East Meadow High School’s American Sign Language students visited kindergartners at Meadowbrook Elementary School for a fun, collaborative lesson.
During Meadowbrook’s Five Senses unit finale, the high school students divided into groups and they visited each kindergarten class as they held lessons on the basics of American Sign Language. High schoolers created several hands-on activities, and kindergartners enjoyed every lesson.
Teachers from East Meadow High School and Meadowbrook, along with district administrators were in attendance to see students of all ages connect, learn and grow together as they showcased the power of collaboration.
