On Jan. 14, students at George McVey Elementary School in East Meadow were entertained with safe, scientific experiments during the school’s Fire and Ice Assembly.
Static Shannon from Mad Science of Long Island taught students about the amazing properties of fire and combustion. Afterward, they cooled off with spectacular demonstrations involving dry ice. Additionally, some of the students got to join Static Shannon in demonstrating her wacky experiments.
