First graders in Ms. McCann’s class at Bowling Green Elementary School in East Meadow recently completed their CKLA astronomy unit.
Many of the students dressed up as astronauts as their classroom was transformed into a space station. Students participated in numerous activities such as completing a space-themed puzzle, crafting planets and spaceships, studying astrological signs, and identifying keywords that are used in astronomy.
