First graders at Bowling Green Elementary School in East Meadow shared lots of love with their parents and teachers on Valentine’s Day during the school's annual Poetry Recital.
Parents gathered in Ms. Rhonda Cohen’s class, which was decorated with heart-shaped balloons, cards and posters. Students cheerfully shared a selection of thoughtful poems to spread love throughout the school. Additionally, each student shared what they love to do and who they love to spend time with.
After the performance, students gave roses to Ms. Cohen to thank her for being a wonderful teacher.
