W.T. Clarke Jazz Band celebrates the power of music

On March 19, the talented musicians of the W.T. Clarke Jazz Band in East Meadow took center stage at the prestigious Walk Like MADD Battle of the Bands, held at the Flagstar at Westbury Music Fair.

Selected as one of only five Long Island bands to perform at this impactful event, W.T. Clarke’s jazz ensemble delivered a captivating performance in support of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Walk Like MADD is MADD’s signature fundraising event, dedicated to raising awareness and funds to eliminate drunk and drugged driving. This special Battle of the Bands brought together talented student musicians from across Long Island to showcase their musical skills while supporting a cause that touches countless lives.

The W.T. Clarke Jazz Band impressed the audience with their dynamic energy, technical precision, and heartfelt musicianship. Their performance added to the evening’s atmosphere of unity and advocacy, demonstrating the power of music to bring communities together for a meaningful purpose.

The district is incredibly proud of its students for their hard work and dedication, and thank MADD for the opportunity to participate in this incredible event.
