East Meadow High School

The East Meadow Varsity Football team had a very successful season finishing with a 7-1 record and a 3rd place finish in Conference 1. The team received the most improved team award, selected by the Nassau County conference 1 coaches.  Also 3 All County players in Joseph Arbitello, Matt Rodriguez and Nick Longardino,  2 All Conference players in Kevin Canto and Yiannis Kakavas and 4 Academic All Conference players in Matt Rodriguez, Joseph Arbitello, Nick Longardino and Kevin Canto.  Kevin Canto received LIAFO’S Unsung Hero Award and Matt Rodriguez received the honor of National Football Foundation Golden 11.  This award goes to the top 11 scholar, football players in Nassau County.  Nick Longardino also made the National Football Foundation Conference 1 Scholar Athlete team.
