With winter break quickly coming to an end, we figured this would be the best time to make a post about what the fourth-graders at McVey participated in a few weeks ago: MEDIEVAL DAY! Proceeding the conclusion of their CKLA unit on the Middle Ages, fourth-grade teachers decided to hold a culminating day of activities for their serfs.....I mean students! Students participated in a wide range of activities such as:
A jousting relay tournament
Creating stained glass
Designing their own coat of arms
Building knight's armor
Eating genuine pottage
AND playing a board game based on events during the Middle Ages
Students came dressed up (if they wanted) and had so much fun participating in all of these different activities. We now dub this day the McVAge of Excellence!
