
First graders celebrated the end of their fairy tale unit with a magical Royal Ball! Students dressed up and enjoyed a day filled with fairy tale fun to mark the end of their learning.











Students in grades 2–5 attended a powerful assembly with award-winning author Amy McCoy, who shared her book Little Big Sister and explored themes of disability understanding, acceptance, and inclusion. Through her engaging presentation, students gained a deeper awareness of peers with disabilities—including autism—and learned how writers turn their ideas into impactful stories. Inspired by Amy’s message, our students left ready to make a positive difference in their school and community!






In celebration of Autism Acceptance Week, students rocked their wildest hairstyles for Crazy Hair Day! With the theme “Acceptance Makes Our World Beautiful,” this fun and colorful day reminded us that our differences are what make us shine.










As part of Autism Acceptance Week, students wore yellow to promote kindness and to show love and support for our friend Ricky. The halls were filled with sunshine as students and staff came together to celebrate inclusion and friendship. #ShineBrightLikeRicky

As part of Autism Acceptance Week, students wore pajamas for Sensory-Friendly Day! The cozy attire helped create a calm and comfortable environment while promoting understanding and acceptance of sensory needs.



To celebrate Autism Acceptance Week, students and staff wore rainbow and tie-dye to show that we are all “Born to Stand Out!” We’re proud to embrace and celebrate the unique strengths that make each of us special.

March was a month of vibrant expression, talent, and collaboration across the East Meadow School District as students and faculty celebrated Music in Our Schools Month (MIOSM) and Youth Art Month with a series of inspiring events and performances.
Held every March, Music in Our Schools Month is a national celebration that recognizes the vital role music education plays in students’ lives. Youth Art Month is a nationwide observance that emphasizes the importance of visual arts education for all students.
From morning melodies to gallery showcases, March was a shining example of the East Meadow School District’s commitment to the arts. Through Music in Our Schools Month and Youth Art Month, students not only honed their craft but also shared their passion and talent with the entire community.
Bravo to all of our student artists, musicians, teachers, and staff who made this month such a resounding success! Let the music and creativity continue! Our kindergarteners had a "charming" time sorting Lucky Charms! 🌈 They practiced their math skills by sorting and counting the colorful shapes in this fun and festive activity.

Bus 62 gave Mr. Ray a well-deserved sendoff as he prepares for retirement! 🚌 After more than a decade of dedication, kindness, and care for our Parkway students, he will be deeply missed. Mr. Ray’s warm greetings and unwavering support have made a lasting impact on our community. Wishing him all the best in this next chapter!





Second graders got creative after learning all about insects! Using water bottles and glow sticks, they crafted their own glowing insects to bring their learning to life.











Third grade students are diving into astronomy! They’ve been exploring the differences between the inner and outer planets, learning what makes each one unique.






Third graders attended a captivating assembly on Sally Ride, presented by Sheryl Faye! Through an engaging performance, students learned about the life and achievements of the first American woman in space.

Our kindergarteners celebrated Royalty Day in style! After learning about kings and queens, they dressed up and enjoyed a special tea party fit for royalty!







First graders had a blast wrapping up their History of the Earth unit by excavating dinosaurs from dino eggs!






We had a wonderful time at Barnes & Noble Night! Teachers read stories to the students, and families came together to support our school in this fun-filled fundraiser. Thank you to everyone who joined us!





As part of PARP Week, students took part in Flashlight Friday! They found a cozy spot, grabbed a book, and read by flashlight for a fun and engaging reading experience.
